And the fallout is now worse. Now we have constitutional law professor Wendy Murphy (!) saying the juror deserves his doxxing and all his negative attention (!!) and that the 11-1 vote of the jury represents the true public beliefs on guilt (!!!), and that all the people saying Clancy is guilty are “paid” somehow. This is madness, a law professor is encouraging a public lynching with her false statements.
Meanwhile, the doxxing is causing the holdout juror to have his home surrounded by Clancy supporters. His brother has stated that Clancy supporters are leaving notes and trapping his family inside, unable to leave. Blatant retaliation against him.
And yet still as of today (Tuesday, Sept 15th) no arrests for jury intimidation, no grand jury unsealing, and no condemnation from the court, the DA, or any Massachusetts legal organization. The silence is deafening. It looks as though jury intimidation and doxxing is here to stay, will be winked at, and juries go the way of standard cars—vanishingly few, more difficult to find, and more difficult to operate.
